Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG)


Information, Advice & Guidance are defined as follows:


Information: facts about situations, persons, events

Advice: an opinion that is offered about what to do or how to act in a particular  situation

Guidance: help and advice about how to do something or about how to deal with issues


Philip Brain Associates Ltd provide clients with detailed, bespoke IAG on all aspects relating to their requirements for qualifications and proving competence. Our IAG is delivered in line with current best practice, industry standards and Health & Safety Executive requirements.


A key component in this, is the delivery of vocational qualification assessment carried out by our team of expert associates. Philip Brain Associates Ltd & our associates will ensure:


  • Qualification assessment will be carried out to qualification specification & national standards

  • Provide learner inductions which contain information advice and guidance on qualification content, delivery methodology and the scope of the candidate’s job role.

  • Initial assessments are carried out in which individual learning plans are agreed that account for learners specific needs and provide advice & guidance on the types of evidence most appropriate to demonstrate competence.

  • Regular progress reviews with each learner as frequently as practicable, usually at the start of each visit

  • Impartial IAG is offered where learners have not yet or are not able to demonstrate competence

  • IAG will be provided on qualification progression on conclusion of program where appropriate.
