It is a requirement of law (Quarrying Regulations 1999) that competence must be demonstrated in our industry. 

 

Managers in this industriy must demonstrate personal competence and that of their workforce. VQs (formerly NVQs) are a  recognised way of doing this as they require candidates to undertake real, competence-based assessments within the workplace.

 

These qualifications are recommended by the HSE as the preferred method of demonstrating competence.

 

In addition Philip Brain Associates Ltd can also provide bespoke courses, which cover the knowledge requirements for the qualifications in Health, Safety & Environmental Management.

 

In partnership with our associates we offer basic & refresher training for mobile plant operators with ITSSAR certification.

 

Philip Brain Associates specialise in the training & assessment of Assessors & Verifiers for the UK quarrying industry and have extensive experience in setting up in-house schemes for companies.

 

We are also pleased to be able to offer tailored CPD events for in-house assessment & verification teams. Using our experience of assessment & verification within the industry and best practice, drawing on our extensive experience working along with the a number of Awarding Organisations.
